It’s that time…I needs some new denim.  I have some rules for myself though…only shopping local {preferrably BIPOC}, sustainable or resale.  

In this post, we’re shopping local denim, shopping sustainable denim and sharing the best place to shop resale denim in Chicago.

It’s fall and it’s real easy to reach for the denim and even easier to do the full canadian {aka denim on denim}.  It’s just so easy and {bonus} stylish, so I’ve been hunting down some denim lately.

Local Denim

Hey hey Sheila Rashid, may I please order every.single.piece please!!  This Chicago based, made-to-order, tomboy + fem aesthetic is so up my alley.

Sustainable Denim

OK, this! Weekday, what a great line!  Right on trend and incredibly budget friendly.  But their commitment to diversity and inclusion in the creative generation, their efforts towards sustainability, and their goal of reaching net-zero by 2040 turned me into superfan instantly.  Take a look here, very hopeful and impressive.  ILYSM Weekday!!

Resale Denim   

Here it is…the best place for resale denim, Crossroads in Evanston, IL.  Only a 15/20 min drive north from the city.  I believe, because it’s in the middle of the Northwestern campus, a good amount of their assortment is from their international students (I’ve found Danish designers, Moussy denim NWT and Sacai pieces.  That’s a full stop.)
